EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2010, A LICENSED LANDSCAPE IRRIGATOR OR A LICENSED IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN MUST BE ON-SITE DURING THE INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE, ALTERATION, REPAIR OR SERVICE OF AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM IN TEXAS.

Several Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) approved (RG-373) Irrigation Training Course Providers have been approved and classes are being scheduled across the state.

Irrigation Technician Examination locations include:

• 16 TCEQ regional offices
• Approved Computer Based Testing Centers
• Texas Engineering Extension Service testing locations
